BETA Founder Bee Eu, has total 18 years of architectural experience in her diversified portfolio. Her formative career years began in Singapore, last worked on diverse international projects under RSP Singapore. She returned to Penang in 2006 with strong design porfolio. As Senior Associate of Veritas Architects, she spearheaded various proposals of concept design, master-planning and project management of local Clients like IJM, SP Setia, Belleview and International Clientele from Sudan, Maldives and Vietnam. Bee Eu then spent another 8 years in a Fast-track Developer Company as Head Of Design, where she oversaw completion of 8 luxury high-rise projects in KLCC, Damansara and Penang, ranging from 38 to 60 storey towers.

 

She founded her own boutique practice to pursue her believe in honest architecture. She believes good architecture is possible regardless of scale, budget and complexity. In 2019, the practice she founded became the youngest firm to win Gold in PAM Awards 2019, for Alteration and Addition Category for the highly acclaimed Penang Digital Library 2; Library In the Park. BETA was also featured as Emerging Practice in Malaysia of year 2019 in Architecture Malaysia magazine.

 

She is the current Penang City Organizer of PechaKucha Penang, a Global network event originated from Tokyo.  A Board member of Penang State Museum, was PAMNC Co-Chairman Education (2015-16), Organising Chairman of World Architecture Day Penang 2015-16.
